Japanese Tea Ceremony, or Chanoyu, Sado or Ocha, is a spiritual practice that embodies the concept of Wa (harmony), Kei (respect), Sei (purity) and Jaku (tranquility). These principles are not only applied to the physical act of making tea but also extend to one's heart and mind.
The ceremony is conducted in a specially designed room called Chashitsu. The host prepares Matcha green tea for his guests using traditional utensils and equipment. The process involves several steps: Purification of the utensils with hot water; Grinding Matcha powder; Whisking the tea; Serving it to guests while maintaining respect and harmony.
三、仪式流程
A typical Japanese Tea Ceremony consists of four stages:
Purification: Host purifies all utensils with hot water before starting.
Tea Preparation: Host grinds Matcha in a stone mortar called Hishaku.
Whisking: With a bamboo whisk named Chasen, host whisks the tea until it becomes frothy.
Serving: Guests receive their portioned cups from host while bowing as an expression of gratitude.
Throughout these processes, utmost attention is paid to detail, precision and aesthetics so as to create an atmosphere where participants can experience tranquility.
四、日本式绿茉莉花香泡制技巧
In order for Japan's renowned green teas such as Sencha or Gyokuro to be fully appreciated at its best form during the ceremony, unique techniques are employed by Japanese artisans:
Preparing cold-brewed sencha: By steeping high-quality leaves in cold water for hours without heat exposure allows maximum extraction without bitterness.
Steaming new growth: Fresh spring leaves undergo steaming process immediately after harvesting which increases its antioxidant levels resulting in better taste quality.
The artistry involved here speaks volumes about how deeply rooted this culture is into every aspect - from soil cultivation practices down through harvests & preparation techniques that make each cup truly special & unparalleled world wide!
This tradition has been passed down through generations since 17th century under leaderships like feudal lord Tokugawa Ieyasu who even created his own private garden dedicated solely towards cultivating this prized plant material! In essence everything – land use planning up till consumption was carefully planned out for optimal results leading us closer understanding our roots within nature itself - something we've forgotten recently due modernization pace!
By embracing such ancient wisdom helps keep us grounded reminding ourselves our place within larger ecosystem connecting people back with earth once again fostering sense community!
